Beta testing for many of our multi-chain solutions is underway in the Nervos ecosystem, and we’ve been blown away by the engagement we’ve seen so far through “Broaden the Spectrum: The Other Side of the Moon,” our bounties program with Gitcoin.
But this is only the beginning, and we have several developments in store—one of which we’ve mentioned before but have yet to really dive into and explain.
What is Yokai?
Yokai is a new decentralized exchange (DEX) that will soon be available for beta testing. It is one of the first projects to receive financial support from InNervation, a fund whose aim is to expand the Nervos Network and greater blockchain ecosystem by making investments in early and growth-stage startups building user-facing solutions with blockchain technology.
Creating a DEX that our users can test and experiment with has been a goal of ours for some time. We started with GliaDex, demonstrating the capabilities of Universal Applications, and now with Yokai, we’re happy to see it carry the torch and launch with a production-ready DEX product.
Beta Testing for Yokai
As we ramp up development ahead of a major protocol upgrade later in the year, more solutions will be available for beta testing on the Nervos mainnet, including Yokai, to give Nervos developers and teams the chance to get a feel for our multi-chain tools in action.
The tools on display in our Gitcoin bounties program, such as Polyjuice, Godwoken, as well as the Force Bridge, will all be accessible to the dApp. This will show the power of Nervos in action, eventually allowing users seamless cross-chain swaps with the likes of Ethereum and Cardano. We are the first platform to bridge to Cardano, which will allow users to use Nervos and Cardano’s native currencies ($CKB and $ADA, respectively) interchangeably on Yokai.
While we’re excited about Yokai, we hope that our community, developers, and DEX builders will see the potential the Nervos ecosystem offers when it comes to DEXs.
Stay tuned for more updates on beta testing dates for Yokai and other activities during #AutumnIsForBuilding. Also, be sure to follow @Yokaiswap on Twitter to get the latest directly from the Yokai team.
