Nervos and Covalent Integration Offers Devs Easy Access to Historical Blockchain Data

NervosNews, Releases & Updates

We are excited to announce a new integration with Covalent, a leading provider of indexing solutions for blockchains, that some builders on Nervos may already be familiar with. Having partnered with us for the Broaden the Spectrum Hackathon, Covalent has started offering a simplified experience for developers building on Polyjuice already.

This integration with Nervos will see Covalent provide a unified API to bring full transparency and visibility to assets across all blockchain networks. For Developers building on Nervos, this will mean reliable, high-quality data across the blockchain ecosystem is at their fingertips.

Covalent’s unified API brings full transparency and visibility to assets across all blockchain networks and within its dataset, there is support for 25B+ transactions, 30,000+ price feeds, and 200,000+ smart contracts for querying.

With this in mind, the integration allows Nervos to greatly expand how available its own network data is for developers while also making it simple to access.

Using the Covalent API, developers can pull Nervos mainnet data and easily access the network via the unified API by changing the chainId parameter. The blockchain data available includes:

  • Token balances per address
  • Historical transactions per address
  • Historical prices by address and ticker symbol
  • Decoded log events

Who is Covalent?

Covalent is looking to solve dt pin-point in blockchain development. Instead of sourcing and sifting through hundreds of different data points from a variety of sources and chains, Covalent looks to aggregate information from across dozens of sources including nodes, chains and data feeds.

Within the unified API, developers are fed data in a rapid and consistent manner, incorporating all relevant data within their one API interface.

Hackathon Helper

With the Hackathon still ongoing, new teams and developers are experiencing what the Nervos Network has to offer. We hope that the developer experience on our network is heightened and simplified through integrations such as this one. A powerful and efficient developer experience is one of our main priorities as we grow our ecosystem and open up access to our multi-chain solutions, like the Force Bridge, Polyjuice, and Godwoken.
