As we’ve continued to expand Nervos’ presence in blockchain and cryptocurrency communities around the world, we’re particularly excited by the growth we’ve seen in South Korea. That’s why we’re pleased to announce CKByte ($CKB), the native token of the Nervos ecosystem, is now listed on Bithumb, the most popular digital currency exchange in South Korea. Starting today, Bithumb’s estimated eight million users will now be able to deposit and trade $CKB on the exchange’s BTC market.
Since its launch in 2014, Bithumb has developed from a Korea-focused cryptocurrency exchange to one that serves the global market. In 2019, its cumulative transaction volume exceeded $1 trillion, cementing Bithumb as not only the leading exchange in South Korea but one of the most influential in the world.
“We’ve witnessed the growth and potential of South Korea’s blockchain industry for some time, which is why CKByte’s listing on Bithumb is a huge milestone for our global ecosytem,” said Kevin Wang, co-founder of Nervos. “We look forward to introducing CKByte to Bithumb’s loyal community and crypto traders across South Korea.”
